Titre: Abilities and States Crosswalk
Posté par: mEdwards le Février 07, 2008, 00:11:22
I've created a PDF file that crosswalks the abilities and states between their English (Official and Unofficial) and French names for ease of use and game play. If you have any suggestions on how to better this file, please let me know.

Download (http://www.geocities.com/sparknutz17/HellDorado_Ability_Crosswalk_041408.pdf)

Thanks.

Mark

Nice work!  I'll use this in conjunction with the new official pdf.  Thanks!

I would check it again mate, it seems there are a few mistakes. Just at first glance the very bottom, Vulnerability isnt Weapon Master and Tir Defensif, is defensive shot not trained marksman.

Still good though

I must have not selected everything when I sorted by the French names. I'll resort and recreate the PDF then post the change.

Just a quickie; would it be possible to mark the ones which are Weapon abilities; perhaps in italics or something?

Also, if possible, having this split into separate pages would be nice; for instance, I'd like one list, sorted alphabetically by French name, showing only official French and English terms.

Sure, I'll work on this and post when its available.

Excellent! Regarding my second requerst, I'm picturing something with 4 pages; French-unofficial English, French-official English, unofficial English-French and official English-French.

Is it really useful to keep dragging the unofficial translations around though? The file is still available because there wasn't a proper crosswalk at the time when the official translation came out, but didn't it become moot when Mark put his spreadsheet out?
Just wondering :)

Updated original post with link to newly created file.

Just to summarize, there are now two pages to the PDF. One containing English to French translations and another containing the French to English translations.

Also, weapon abilities have been pulled from the Abilities list and given their own listing.

Not to me, which is why I'd like the unofficial stuff filtererd out. There may be some people still using the unofficial version, since apart from anything else, it's half as many pages and doesn't murder an ink cartridge to print it. :)

Nothing to really add to the conversation, just wanted to say cheers.  This spreadsheet is the one I keep flipping over to see what things are.

Cheers!
