Another question; A model with reach 2" can move (say) 6" and attack a further 2" out (effective 8"). I assume the target (unless it has reach) does not fight back?

A model with Reach 2 doesn`t attack something 2" away. All fighting is done while in base to base contact. The Reach 2" just means that the model has a control zone of 2" radius.

Yep. I`m answering on reflex because of the Warmachine players. Damn people using the same thing in different games to mean different things.
First Strike is another one that seems to pop up a bit. Everybody seems to think that you strike first. Silly people.
;D
The first game of HD I played we thought reach was as in WM reach, needless to say the succubus totally dominated the table!

Well, since there's no such ability as "First Strike", that shouldn't be an issue, should it?

Now, no. There was an unofficial translation of the rules a while back that included it though. I think it was for what is now called Eager.
