Would players be interested in a tournament run in Canterbury some time in the summer or autumn of this year?
My local group regularly runs tournaments for various games and has access to some decent (free) facilities at the University of Kent. It would either be a saturday or sunday with a 10am start and a finish around 6pm.
I suspect we could rustle up 3-6 local players, in addition to visitors, possible even from over the channel.
Thoughts?
There are 2 of us (Lost and Sarrasin) that would be very likley to attend any such event.
Are there any particular dates / days that would not be good for you?
Could be a few of us in London able to come. All down to the date.
In that case I will check with the available dates and let people know asap.
I'm certainly interested, and there are a few other players near me (Milton Keynes area).
Incidentally, we've been talking about running another tournament here but have just changed venue so need to sort out weekend availability fist!
Any date on this yet??
Sorry combination of real life (wife is 7 months pregnant) and a demo game at Cavalier in Tonbridge got in the way. I am planning on grabbing a date at the club meet on friday so will let you know then.
Ok with Salute out of the way a date for this tournament has been sorted.
Saturday November 7th
Registration would be 10am, with a hope to start the first round at 10-30am. Depending upon numbers there would be either 3 or 4 games for everyone, with a finish before 6pm (hopefully). There will be no entry cost, but prizes will therefore be limited.
All the tables will be themed, with some fixed terrain and some deployable via a modification of the terraformation rules. Assuming there are not more than 32 players, all terrain will be real (not cut out markers).
Would those people interested please add their name and faction to the thread.
Cheers
Paul

Unfortunately he's got a weekend job (at GW)!
No problem, hopefully we will have 2-5 locals as well.
Ok, after the lull ofthe summer I just want to confirm this tournament will go ahead on November 7th, 10-30am start at the Missing Link building, University of Kent, Canterbury. If anyone needs directions etc please let me know.
Rules will be 1635 to allow for Immortals, and there will be limited Terraformation which will be explained on the day.
Cheers

Ok, a brief after action report for the Canterbury tournament.
We had seven players on the day (all locals), bringing 2 x Saracens, 2 x Westerners, 2 x Lost and 1 x Demon forces.
Three rounds were played with custom scenarios on the different terrain boards, with the winner determined by total points scored over the three rounds.
The top three were:
1st Jan (Westerners) 27 points
2nd John (Lost) 25 points
3rd Dave (Westerners) and Stuart (Lost) 14 points
Thanks to all who attended for a great day and some fun games, hopefully we will repeat this tournament next year.
If people are interested I can post more details.
