Hey all, so I'll be running some Hell Dorado events in Indianapolis at GenCon '09. It will be using the 1635 rules (hopefully the cards will be available by then). There will also be some demos throughout the weekend if you're interested in trying it.
Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 4pm-9pm
It will be located in the TTG (http://forums.ttgamers.com/forums/yaf_forum.aspx) area where we will be running many other games systems and tournaments, as well we will have space for open gaming in the area, so stop on by and play some games with us. You can even enter the tourney if you don't have an army as I will have a few extras on hand. But it is limited to only 12 players. Be sure to register early when the events go up as it sounds like there's a lot of interest.
I will also be running demos throughout the weekend also. These will be small, scenario driven demos to teach the basics of the game. These should last about an hour at most, I'm aiming for about a half hour to 45 minutes to leave some time for questions and the like. Here's the current schedule:
Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 8am-9am
Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 9am-10am

The cards should be available by then. ;)
I'll be there for sure. Got two friends rolling down for other events and they just received their own gear so possible 3 shows for Metro-Detroit.
Definitely me, too!!! Actually, it's one of the main reasons I'm going down.

So the tournament was a blast with the minor interruption of a fire alarm during the last round. Most guys called it quits, but Ryan Gibbons and Tony Mikulaschek left their models in play and when we returned to the room, they finished their game.
1st place went to Rick (Lionheart) with his Sarrasins
2nd place to Ryan Gibbons and his Demons
Best Painted fig went to Chuck (Beowulfdahunter)
