Titre: Baptiste Valombre's Scout rule
Posté par: Thalaric le Août 08, 2007, 22:16:57 PM
While waiting for my boxed sets I decided to download and look at the translated cards, and I noticed Baptiste Valombre has the "scout" special ability, but the translated quickstart rules refer back to the main rulebook. Does someone out there have a translation as to what that ability does?

scouts are used only on the terraformation  part of the game  in wich players place terrain  previous to the game
in a nut shell. it give you the oportunity of   kind of tailoring the terrain  to your advantage/disavantage  depending who  use his scouts  better ...

will need to wait  for he english edition  or that Asmodee give  the all clear to the fan tras lated one

To give you a little more to go on :
Each Scout your warband has gives you a small advantage in the terraformation phase, when each player bids tokens for each zone. Out of the top of my head, you can use them to force your opponent to bid before you do, or to reveal one of their bids, amongst other things.

In addition, in some scenarios, scouts allow you to move objectives by a couple of inches. If that is the case, it will be explicitly mentionned in the "set up" part of the scenario text.

For your home made scenarios, if you're playing without terraforming (which you probably are if you haven't build much terrain items yet) I would strongly suggest that you find a similar use for the scout skill (though not game breaking) so that armies that have scouts in them can benefit from the skill.
