That's right, it's almost upon us again, the 2nd Annual GenCon HellDorado Tournament.

It will be 200 points, using the most current version of the rules.

ALl Games played will be using the Missions scenario.

I am running Introductory (demos) Games of Hell Dorado at GenCon 2010 in Indianapolis.  In addition, the second annual Hell Dorado Tournament will be held there.  Here's all the info to head over to the website and get your tickets:

Each event will be an hour long, and I will run 4 people through a game of Hell Dorado.  I did this last year for 6 people and it was a little difficult for everyone to hear me clearly, so I had to lower the numbers.

And here's the info for the 2nd Annual Hell Dorado Tournament:

This will be a 200 point tournament using the Missions scenario for every game, which I will list below this post.

Tournament Rules

Game Size: 200, using most current rules
Deployment: 5 units from your edge.
Duration: 4 turns
Mission: You receive Conquest Points for completing missions during the game. Player
with most points at end of game wins.  All games will use the Missions scenario.  Tracking sheets will be provided.

Backstab:
Impose a loss of at least 6 points of life to the opposite officer.
1 Point of conquest

Massacre:
Eliminate all the opposing troopers.
1 Point of conquest

Head-hunters:
Kill all the independents of the opposite company.
2 Points of conquest

Prestige:
Kill the opposite officer. Note: prestige can accrue with backstab.
1 Point of conquest

First blood:
The company which kills the first ememy gains First Blood.
1 Point of conquest

" The merc died! ":
Kill an opposite figurine which is not affiliated to the same faction as that of the opposite officer.

Knockdown:
Knock down an opposing independent. Note: if the figurine is killed while being knocked down they still
get this.

Artifact:
At the start of the game choose one of your (non officer) models to carry an Artifact. Take that artifact
into the opposing players deployment zone. Note: The model carrying the artifact can`t use any special
orders, auras, or capacities.

Sacrifice (passive order):
The officer must give up two permanent command points.
1 Point of conquest

"Fatality" (passive order/- 2 Cmd):
Before rolling the combat dice a (not insignificant) model may choose to commit a Fatality (order, 2 temp
cmd). If they manage to kill a (not insignificant) model in that combat and stay alive themselves then they cut off the enemies head.
1 Point of conquest (also gain head of enemy)

" Finally! We wiped you out ":
At the end of the game, the player who lost the least value (in AP) of fighters gets this mission:
2 Points of conquest

Conquered ground:
At the end of the game, the company which has control of the central zone, takes gains this mission:
1 Point of conquest

" A head on a tray ":
You get this mission if you return an enemy head to your deployment zone (see Fatality):
1 Point of conquest

I find a little bit sad to see every round with the same scenario (and specially this one), but anyway, I'll try to be there, probably with my mercenaries.

Well, the announcement states the game and rulebook will be released at or around GenCon. I'll be there with Lost or Immortals.

I ran it that way last year, and it worked well.  That way at the end of the rounds you can go by points.  The biggest hurdle is that I don't have all the various scenarios in English and I found the few I do have aren't the best balanced for competive games.

If you have any suggestions, I'm certainly open to ideas and suggestions.

Conquest, and red wave (maybe not the right name in english) are quite balanced scénario.

I like too the exploration one.

if you need translation, I can allways try to do it.
