Building a Necropolis

I am starting to build a Necropolis board for doing demos on-
What ideas have people done for a Necropolis?

What elements for terraforming do I need to create- I know they will be in English soon- but a couple hints will be nice!

Not that I've done anything yet but I would suggest mounds with lots of skulls and plenty of broken pillars possibly in a Roman style .

Love it!
The big black monolith is awesome and a simple yet effective idea-
I was thinking of adding in more destroyed buildings or temples, but the skulls are pretty effective!

I was actually in the initial stages of building my own Necropolis with much the same colour scheme as the link - ie. drab, hopeless, dull, gray.

And to Pawnshop, your board is truly epic.
