English counters for Hell Dorado

Hi!

I haven't played that many Helldorado games yet, but I've realized that you really need some kind of counters to mark the states of your soldiers.
I didn't find any with Google, so, as I was a bit bored at work, I created some of my own.

Here's the link. The picture is about 1mb in size.

It should print correctly on a standard A4 sized paper, with 200dpi.  15mm squares. I recommend printing them on a thick paper, preferably laminated.
Yes, I know my drawing skills aren't that good, but I wanted some illustrations on them, just for fun. (If somebody wants to draw me some better ones, I'd be more than happy to put them to good use!)

The large A counter is for marking units you've activated this round. I'm always confused what units I've already activated. Should be helpful especially for us beginners.
I didn't put any numbers on the counters. I thought that if you're hit with 3 immobilizes, you'd just put a stack of three counters next to the mini, and remove them one by one. With "consumed" you might put a counter for each round, and a dice to mark the amount of damage.

So, now I need your help. Please test the counters in action, and tell me what I should change. Are the counters too big or too small? Should I color-code them somehow? Is there any more counters that would be useful?
The next time I get to play is a few weeks away, so I can't really test them myself in real action.

Or is there already a good set of counters available, and all my work is just for nothing?

Thanks!

Hm, those look better, but there's a lot of other states and abilities I'd like to mark with counters. Putting the penalty for DEF/CBT on the counter is a nice idea, though. But I'd prefer using counters in English..

At least my work wasn't a complete waste of time :)

Are Wounded counters really necessary? I suppose it depends how you track damage; I put the cards in sleeves and write on them with a marker pen (comes from playing Warmachine, I suppose :) ).Reload times are also on the cards, so no need to mark that, either. I'd be inclined to write the other effects on the cards, myself, but that's only because I don't like spoiling the look of the game with piles of counters.

I'm not sure if the Wounded-counters are absolutely necessary. I'm going to use them as a reminder, that the unit has become wounded, especially now when I'm just learning the rules. Same with the reloading-counter.
I'm such a scatter-brain, that if I don't see the state of the fighter on the tabletop, I'm not going to remember things like reloading, knockdowns or even if I've already activated that unit or not.. Putting a counter next to the miniature should fix my leaky brain problem ;)

I too use the card protection sleeves, and thought about writing on them with a non-permanent marker pen. But when there's healers in the game, and you might reload your weapon more than once, it's going to get messy. I might give it a try, though.
At the moment I'm using different coloured dice to keep track of damage. Not on the playing surface, but on the cards.

Of course you don't have to use all of the counters, if you don't need them. Just don't cut them out of the sheet. I just tried to make the counters as encompassing as possible. But have I missed some important ones?

AndrewGPaul

I don't think you've missed any, unless there's some terrain effects that could be used. Perhaps some model-specific ones, like counters to mark a model's aura in play?
