Heya all!
Still trying to wrap my head around this very interesting game. is there a download for terrain rules anywhere? The only part i can see in the main english translation is concerning what you can see for shooting. Also, this may sound silly but what is the standard size for a game table? is it 4' x 4' or is it smaller? cant seem to find that either. Thanks for the help!

There are rules for terrains, but actually only in french (here : "terraformation") , sorry.

i think it'll soon come in english, but can't tell you when.

The standard size is 75cm, so around 2.5' if i'm not mistaken.

The standard table size is 30 "fathoms".  If you like inches then this is a 30" by 30" square.  If you prefer metric then its a 75cm by 75cm square.  Most missions divide this area into 9 squares of equal size.

There are terrain rules.  The reason they were left out of the download is the fact that they`re a little more involved than most games.  Before the game you "bid" for control of areas of the table, and then depending on how the bids work out you have so many points to spend on terrain.  The terrain itself ranges from rubbish little rock formations for hardly any points at all, up to large glowing mini suns that consume the table.  While the smaller terrain pieces just tend to be basic objects that block line of sight, the more expensive ones come with special rules that really change how you play.

I'm sure I've seen terrain setup rules floating about the intertubes somewhere. They included the setup rules, plus terrain element rules for generic terrain pieces (rocks, walls, etc) and the Ice Fields terrain type. The website has downloadable Burning Hells terrain templates (lava pits, gas vents, etc).

In addition, the three Chronicles of Zaebas campaign documents (currently only available in French) contain terrain rules and templates for Desert terrain (part 1), swamp terrain (part 3) and a more eclectic mix of Burning Hells and ruined buildings terrain (part 3).

There's also mention of a Necropolis terrain type, but I'm not sure what that entails.

Fields of skulls that can drive any man Berserk, piles of bodies that strike Terror in those nearby, all surrounding a Throne of Skulls that can bestow huge Combat power to those willing to make a sacrifice.  The winds of the skull plains are bitingly painful when they get up to speed too.

;)

Ever seen "What dreams may come?"  Its kinda like the hell in that.

Fair enough i guess.
For those of you out there who cant read french (like me) how do you deal with terrain? are you just using it as a block line of sight/protection against shooting kind of thing?

You making that up, or do you have a source?

Source.   ;D

I`m really not sure whats supposed to be shared.  Don`t really want to give away any specific game details (unless somebody from Asmodee says otherwise of course), but theres nothing wrong with fluff.
