Hi guys!
I recently fell in love with this game and I just wanted to share with you my enthusyasm about it. I've been playing 3d games for 10 years but it was since 1997 that I wasn's so frenzied about a mini game. HD scores points everywhere: beautiful miniatures (I had the luck of seeing ALL studio miniatures recently at Luccagames in Italy, including some in preview:sarrasins' longgunners, westernmen with arquebuses, and 3 human  mercenaries with low point cost to fit in spare points of every army, everyone simply wonderful). This game has an original and intriguing background and a set of rules that seem to rock. I'm going to have my first game in a few days but, as I own the english rulebook which misses the deployment rules, I'm asking you:
1)what are the dimensions of the battlefield?
2)Could anyone kindly resume briefly the deployment sequence?

30"x30" divided into nine 10"x10" squares.

2)Could anyone kindly resume briefly the deployment sequence?

The side with the Domination decided who deploys first and that side deploys all its miniatures. The deployment zone is 5" from edge of the table.

I forgot to ask about a duration of a game, say a tipical match where you simply have to kill most of your opponents, and victory conditions (army points or command points killed?)

game is fast  once the combat star, now all depend  of how quick or slow you wanna  get  there.

I'm sorry, I formulated the question wrongly:I mean, how many game turns usually you play. Or maybe games last until enemy total annihilation?

Gotcha .
my first game lasted  about 4  turns  and we were just trying to kill each other
the second game went for like 3 hours and   just 4 turns  as we were stoping to check  every rule and ability e were using.

the last 2 games I had  wer done in turn 3  I mean  objetive  taken or one of the army  destroyed totaly...


the scenarios in the rulebook  go from 4 to 6 turns ...

I must point out that scenarios is rather important for the game as the points costs of various fighters takes them into account and the more expensive ones tend to dominate pure kill'em'alls. But that's certainly not to say that those can't be fun

A simple scenario would be trying to conquer the nine sectors of the game board. You get the sector if you have more minis in it than the opponent. Each of three sectors closest to you is worth one Victory Point, the middle three are worth two and the ones on the opposite side of the table are worth three each. You calculate the sectors held at the end of each turn and add the VPs thus garnered to your total (each turn, so that you will probably have something like 20 at the end of the game). No VPs are given for killing the enemy and the game lasts for five turns.

Also I just realized who you are, III-I-III, and let me just say that it is awesome to have your painting talent to astound as with the HD-minis
