Titre: Hell Dorado Table
Posté par: Breten le Février 23, 2009, 03:51:00
So I played a game against our new Westerners player, which I won, go Saracens!  Anyways I took some pics and here's some shots of the table that Uncle Mike http://www.umw-online.com/ & http://www.strange-aeons.ca has been working on.  There's still a little detailing to do on it.

Other pics can be seen over here:

What a cracker of a table. How does it play? I can imagine a huge barney occuring mid table most of the time :D

I've been pondering making one for a bit but have yet to find the time ::)

Lovely work on the table, how did you get the lava effect?

*snort*... I told him we already got one... *laughter*

(sorry, couldn't resist the vague Monty Python reference when a french game is involved)

Basically Mike took the GW craters and glued them to a board.  He then broke up a bunch of corck sheets and placed them around the board creating a bunch of crevases.  Once the craters had the dinosaur and ruins in there, he filled them with a little bit of resin, and the rest is just painting.  The lava still needs to be detailed, but it's damn close to being finished.

The table plays great.  The game is usually pretty spread out, nothing jams up at all.  It's definately one of the coolest tables I've played on, but Mike makes some pretty cool stuff.
