When I went looking for Army Builder 3.x files, all I could find was French. When I looked for an on-line army builder, even though there is one that says it's in English, there are no stats and the unit names haven't been translated; only the functions in the software. So, in the interest of making it easier to build army lists in English, I have built this web site: Hell Dorado: English Army Builder - Alpha. I found translations on voidgamers and on the English portion of these forums, but still had to translate a few things myself. Please go check it out and if you have suggestions or find mistakes, please feel free to PM me. Keep in mind, it's the alpha version and many improvements are already planned, but feedback always helps!

Thanks,
Totengraber

I only had a quick look, a lot of the translations (orders/spells/...) you are did were already on this forum. Look in the rules section for the translated waves in particular. I'm thinking I should get all those translation in one stickied thread, that'd make it easier for people who want to use them.

Also quite a few translations of abilities you use look like they might come from the old, unofficial pdf. I suggest you check out Mark's Abilities crosswalk so your work gets consistent with the official english rules.

Very good, but I think you shoud consider not reloading the page everytime a model is added.

I especially like the printer-friendly summaries.

@mathieu: Yeah, I need to double-check the translations. I have the Crosswalk and used it for the translations I had to do on my own.

@mzi: If I knew how to modify the army list without reloading, I'd do it in a second (if you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them; no sarcasm, I'm serious). As it is, the HD profiles DB isn't too large yet, so it isn't too terribly slow.

Thanks for checking it out!

That would be very helpful. I could then easily go through and update the database to match.

You can use javascript to alter the DOM of the page and to query your database.
Maybe you should have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AJAX

I'll do that tonight. I've noticed that many of the translated material that people have been using lately do not take into account the latest errata for example. It'll be useful to everyone who'd want to create their own version of the cards with current material, too.

I'll look into this.

It's on a hosted web server and I don't think it has AJAX installed.

Thanks!!

AJAX is a technique, not a piece of software (you don't have to install it). Look at the sample code on the wiki page.

Many thanks for taking the time to do this. I have found it very useful.

Totengraber

Been looking into AJAX, I think I can make it work, it just might take some time.

Also, the auras, orders, and spells should now be updated with Matheiu's posted translations. If you find any errors, please let me know.

Thanks,
Totengraber

The Army Builder has been updated to include the latest profiles.

Thanks,
Totengraber

P.S. When I have time, I'll AJAX up this site.
